The snow is slowly melting.

When it snows here we usually only get an inch or so and it melts in twenty-four hours. This five inches we received is still hanging around.

Gus still thinks you should take the day off!

I agree with Gus. Let’s all take the day off, look out the window, and imagine Spring.

  It’s so close I can smell it! Of course, the fact that we are receiving spring gardening catalogs everyday in the mail helps!

They say we’ll see a warmup this weekend but they’re also hinting at a big storm next week. I hope not!

  It’s a Northern Cardinal. Very common on the East coast if the USA.
