This year has been a prolific year for the rabbits in the garden. I will be pulling weeds for hours than SWOOSH! One will jump right in front of me!
And they come out during daylight with no fears!
But it is Strawberry Season! Crates and crates of them at the Raleigh Farmer’s Market.
Cook them down and mash them with sugar, lemon juice, and pectin.
And I didn’t core them but used a potato masher to crush them and make a lovely jam
I used the “Homemade Strawberry Jam” recipe from the Ball jar website: http://www.freshpreserving.com/recipes/strawberry-jam
aaa
The strawberries and bunnies look delicious 😀

Great post! We don’t have but one rabbit here that I have seen. Come to think of, I haven’t even seen it for a while. I have driven on some back country roads and have seen A LOT of rabbits, though. Your strawberry jam looks delicious!!!

Rabbits can do a lot of damage to a garden. I hope yours are well behaved!

A little black or red chili pepper sprinkled on the plants helps to change their minds!

It must be that time of year, as I also have a baby bunny in my beds. Your jam looks wonderful.

Our garden has way too many bunnies! They sit there, insolently chomping away at things. Cute, though, aren’t they? Now the squirrels, and their lust for our tomatoes — that’s something else entirely!
