A change is in the air!

The nights have cooled considerably. The day temps barely reach 80f and the nights have been as low as the mid-60s. Of course, we typically can have a heat wave as late as November!

More autumn bloomers are also signaling a change is around the corner!

Ginger lilies- so fragrant!

Annual poinsettia – a great reseeder!

And shiso (perilla) with woodland phlox- a great burgundy accent!

And Rudbeckia laciniata

Also, the garden spiders are hard at work- although, out of focus!

And a change in my mode of transportation!

A Fiat 500 POP!

How retro? And in what looks like that 60s avocado green!

Yum!

  1. I wish we were feeling some of that cool. We hit our high for the year this week. Can you leave your ginger lily in the ground over winter?

  3. We’ve seen the 40s here at night, so the seasons are changing, for sure. The new car looks about the same size as a VW Bug, which was always one of my favorites.

  4. Like the weather is so weird, especially the night and early morning. Doesn’t seem like August, that’s for sure. Down my way, the weatherman says we’re breaking records
